The Frozen Donkey Wheel - LOST Season 4 Finale

Official LOST Podcast 03-21-2008
The end of the season will be referred to "The Frozen Donkey Wheel". Only the minimum number of people that need to know the information of the end of the season. Last season's code name for Jack and Kate on the tarmac was the "Rattlesnake in the Mailbox." The "The Frozen Donkey Wheel" is not the final scene of the final episode, but a key moment in the finale.

Damon and Carlton have unofficially confirmed that the Oceanic 6 are Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, Aaron, and Sun. The trailer last week showed the Oceanic 6 were these characters, even though that had intentionally left it so you'd think Jin was one of them.

Questions:
You have to enter the "atmosphere" of the island in a very specific way much like the space shuttle. They did hint that this could be the source of the "sickness" on the island.

How long did Miles have the grenade in his mouth? Did he have lock jaw?
Miles was not "Locke-Jawed."

Will they show the Swan implosion anymore?
No. We haven't seen our last purple sky. There is another electromagnetic event coming up this year.

Is the electrical storm always there? Wasn't answered.

Monster, Human, Apparition Game:
Ben's Mother -Apparition

In Expose, the Nikki and Palao episode, on the title page has "Rick Lapidus," is there a connection or do you guys really love the name?
There is no connection to Frank Lapidus, other than the writer Eddie really loves the name.

Is Aaron in danger, now that he is being raised by Kate?
Richard (the physic) is a fraud and a con-man. Do you believe he's a physic then he's in danger? Do you believe he's a con-man he's fine. He is in danger.

Were the Others familiar with Kevin Johnson from the NBA?
They picked an innocuous name not to tip off Whidmore.

Cultural Anthropologists and Archaeologists have a nerdy feud, does she have both degrees?
Charoltte is a Cultural Anthropologists and a closet Archaeologists. Cultural Anthropologists study civilizations and cultures which is important.

Will we see a flashback featured the Black Rock and the 4 Toed Statue?
We will learn more but not in a flashback.

Meet Kevin Johnson Recap

Meet Kevin Johnson Recap
LOST sea son 4 Episode 8

LOST started off with a montage of Michael's story. It showed most of his experience on the island as well as his exit. Team Locke is having a meeting. John has decided to tell all of his secrets to everyone. He brings Miles in from the boat house. Miles says that he is there for Ben, something that Hugo points out that we knew forever ago. Ben shares who his man on the boat is.... Michael.

On the freighter, we hear an alarm sounding and Sayid and Desmond run out to the deck to see the captain beating a man down. He was stopping him from taking the boat out and says that he was beating him up to protect everyone. After his speech, he tells Johnson to clean up the mess. Sayid confronts Michael and Michael doesn't want to talk. He tells Sayid that his is on the boat to die.

Locke is taking his prisoner back to the boat house presumably, when Sawyer stops him and asks why he didn't share the secret that their knew friends asked $3.2 million. John says that he doesn't see any banks on the island and didn't think that was important. Miles tells them that Ben gets what he wants. Example: last week he had a gun to his head and tonight he was eating pound cake.

Ben tells Alex that she needs to go to the temple, that it is the only safe place left on the island.

Kevin Johnson is in the engine room trying to get the engine working. Sayid and Desmond find him, saying the captain has sent them to help. Sayid grabs and wants answers. Michael is afraid for the people on the boat to see them talking.

Next up we see Michael off island after escaping the island writing a note to Walt in a run down apartment. He gets into an old car, with a cd player with the volume at 17 (1+7=8). And trying to commit suicide, he drives in a container on a dock.

Michael in hospital after suicide attempt. The nurse comes in and it's Libby, he's obviously scared and starts yelling she disappears. Some time later, his real nurse comes in and she says that he didn't have any i.d., and that on his suicide note it was to Walt. She's asks if she should call him.

Michael goes to his mother's house trying to see Walt, but his mom won't let him. She talks about how his plane crashed and everyone thought that everyone was dead. We see Walt in the window at Michael's mom's house apparently in Manhattan.

Michael trades Mr. Paik's watch for a gun with some bullets and walks down into a dark alley. When good old, Mr. Friendly walks up on him. Tom, his old friend, keeps him from committing suicide. After a good little fight, Tom tells him "you can't kill yourself, the island won't let you." He tells him where he's staying if he'd like to talk some more about why he tracked him down.

Michael back in his apartment. He's trying to shot himself in the head, but he can't the gun won't fire. Then he sees the news footage that Flight 815 has been found.

Michael goes to gay Tom hotel room with his friend their with him. Tom asks his "friend" to get some air. Michael tells him that he saw the plane on the bottom of the ocean. Tom says that's not your plane it's a phony. He says that Whidmore put it there, so that no one else will the find the real crash site except him. Tom provides "proof" that Whidmore fake it. He says photos of cemetary dug up in Thailand, some shipping orders and information on a friegther. Whidmore's boat is heading out of Fiji. Tom tells him that he just got a job as a deck hand and says "Meet Kevin Johnson." If Whidmore finds the island, it's good night to them all. He'll kill them all. They are sending Michael on the boat , not to return to the island, but to kill everyone on the boat....

"Kevin" is in Fiji and talks with Minkowski, and then Namoi. Namoi is from Manchester. Kevin has a crate deliver for him, she's going to have it sent to his room. Miles says to Michael as soon as he steps on the boat, "your name isn't Kevin." Tom calls Michael and asks if he got his care package, and he says to wait a couple days until your out in the open sea. Will Michael man up and do it? He says, "I'm in." He's told to ditch the phone and go do his job. We also see Frank. Namoi is talking about the science team - some need to know information.

Frank asks what's his story? Kevin says that he's looking for adventure. Frank asks about Oceanic 815. He says that the plane wasn't Flight 815, and that's why he signed up to be on this boat, and that Whidmore thinks that its still out there and he's looking for it. Frank says, "can you imagine if we found some of those people alive?"

Kevin is cleaning the deck, when he hears machine gun fire. They're shoting things, clay piegons. "I thought we're going on a rescue mission?" He asked in return, "don't you have something to mop up?" He then goes back to his room and open the case into the crate. He takes the case and unlcoks itm revealing some c4 and a denoator. The code was 7776. As he is about to iniate the bomb, Michael hears some whispers and then Libby appears! She says, "don't do it Michael." He engages the device anyway and it doesn't blow up. A note appears on an arm, and it says, "Not Yet."

Minkowski asks, "Are you going Nicholson on us?" Walt is on the radio, which why he was interpreting his ball bouncing. "Walt?" It's Ben and he says that their are people on the boat that are innocent. He says that he will not kill innocent people. Ana Lucia and Libby? Ben says that "you killed tehm, I didn't." Ben wants a list of name, every person on the boat. Then report the names when Ben calls back, then disable the radio and engine. Michael says that he will do all of those things, and Ben tells him to consider himself one of the good guys.

Sayid asks, "So you're telling me that you're working for Benjamin Linus. Sayid takes him to the captain. He tells him everything about Michael Dawson.

Rousseau Alex and Carl are in the jungle looking for the Temple, and something seems wrong. Carl has a bad feeling. Alex still trusts that Ben doesn't want her to get hurt. Carl is shot and killed. Alex and her mom are also being shot at. At the count of three, they're going to run. 1, 2, 3... they stand up and Rousseau is shot in th back. Alex is looking around the jungle and sees the movement. She yells, "Wait! Wait, don't! I'm Ben's daughter!"

Also it's confirmed that Aaron is one of the 6 in the commercial for April 24th episode.

Questions:
TEMPLE
What's the temple?Who built it?How is it still a secret?

LIBBY
Was that Libby's ghost each time? Was it Michael's guilty conscience? Was that the island?

THE PLANE
Did Ben fake it? Did Whidmore fake it?

J.J, Abrams - Star Trek Teaser

The Teaser for some reason the trailer wouldn't embed.
http://www.reelzchannel.com/video/31369/star-trek-teaser

J.J. Abrams on Star Trek, Cloverfield 2 and The Dark Tower

Lots of exciting things coming up for the creator of LOST. J.J. Abrams, Damon & Carlton's Star Trek will be out a little later than originally planned. It will hit theaters in May 2009. He's been given a green light on a Cloverfield sequel. Also Damon and J.J. are in the early stages of adapting the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Very cool.

Ji Yeon Recap - LOST Season 4 Episode 7

Present Recap
We start off on the friegther. Frank is bring some food to Des and Sayid. He talks with the guy from Smokin Aces about not being late for a meeting. He then goes inside the boat to a room, where a disoriented Regina is guarding the LOSTies. Regina said she didn't hear him and has her book upside down. Frank talks with Des and Sayis and tells them that they don't want to talk to the captian because he's mad that they broke out of sick bay. They tell him that they thought he left the door open for them. Another reference to their "friend" on the book. Jin and Sun are on the beach. Jin wants to talk about baby names, but Sun thinks it's bad luck and they decide they talk about names once they're rescued.

Sayid and Desmond are still confined and their "friend" slips them a note through the door. As you can see on the left, it says, "Don't trust the captain." The action returns to the beach, where Kate has returned to the beach camp. Sun asks her about the "rescuers." Kate tells how they turned off the chemcial weapons plants, that Juliet said was a power station. Sun confronts and Daniel and then decides to leave camp.

Sun is going through Juliet's things and is looking for prenatal viatmins. Sun wants them so she can go to the camp of Locke. She doesn't believe Juliet that pregnant woman die on this island. Claire, her baby and Sun are fine, so she wants to do what's best for the baby, she wants to go to the other camp.

Kate draws Sun and Jin a map and tells them that she will tell Jack. Juliet trying to stop them, tells Jin about the danger that Sun and the baby is in. She has to get off the island in three weeks or she will die, danger. Juliet tells about Sun's affair. Jin is hurt, but tries to stay strong and walks back toward the beach.

Sun is trying to explain the Jin, when Bernard (haven't seen him in a while) comes up to them, and asks to go fishing with Jin, not knowing what's happening. Bernard talks with him about being married and about Karma. He thinks that they are the "good guys."
Des and Sayid hear someone baning on pipes in the boat, when the doctor brings them out to the deck of the ship. The helicopter is gone, and they are told Frank went on an errand to the island (since there's no where else to land) Regina commits suicide. That is weird, and noone tries to help here. Captain Gault orders everyone back to their posts, and walk up to our friends and says "I suppose you two have a few questions ".

He tells them that he didn't want to lose any more men by trying to save Regina, and that most of the crew is suffering from a really bad case of cabin fever. He also says that he's tried to get away from the island, since he thinks its causing the problems, but can't because of the saboteur on board. He also shares who sent him, Charles Whidmore (just like Ben said).

Then he shows them something. A flight data recorder, a black boxpulled from the bottom of the ocean because of Whidmore great resources. It is in his opinion the fake black box of Oceanic Flight 815, since Sayid is standing there in front of him. Where does someone come across the resources and bodies to fakes something like that. They think that Ben is responsible for the fake wreckage.

Back on the freigther, the docotor and Sayid and Desmond are tlaking. The docotor tells him that the captains is surprising striahgt forward, just don't piss him off. There is blood on the wall of their new room, and the docotor cause Johnon to clean it up. Johnson is hesitant and tries to head up top, but the doctor insists. Kevin Johnson, is Michael (the man on the boat). He is "introduced" to Sayid and Desmond.

Jin makes dinner for Sun, and tells her that he understand because he knows the he was and they way that he treated her. Then she tells him what Juliet says about the island and how they have to get off the island to save and that she knows that the baby is Jin's. She thought she had lost him, but she didn't. He says, she never will.

Future Recap
Sun is in a bathroom, and walk out of it and something is wrong. She's in pain, and then she sits down on the bed in intense pain. She calls emergency services and says she needs an ambulance, because she is pregnant and "something is wrong."
The nurse wheeling Sun into the hospital recognizes here as one of the Oceanic 6. Dr. Park comes in to help. She still thinks something is wrong with her baby. The bay is in distress. The doctor says, he'll find out what's wrong. She wants him to get Jin, and she looks like she is bad shape. Jin is getting into a taxi, and his phone is knocked down and run over by a bike and someone steals his cab and his present. Jin goes back to get another panda, but the clerk says he's out and the one left is one hold. Jin gives him a lot of money for it.

Sun is in delivery and is still looing Jin, and is still worried. The baby comes out and is soon crying. It's a little baby girl, Ji Yeon, it is. She's okay and so is the baby.

Jin is rushing into the hospital. He isn't allowed in right away. He also refers to the the ambassador and Mr. Paik. Jin says he's only been married for two months, and that the baby wasn't his. We know see Sun back at home, and Hurley comes to visit. No one else is coming. He wants to see the baby. Hurley doesn't want to see the baby at first. He says that she looks just like Jin, and Sun says that she does. The big reveal is that what we saw of Jin was a flashback and what we say of Sun was a flashforward, and Jin is now dead. From his grave marker, he never makes off the island.

Questions:
Who faked the 815 wreckage? Was is Ben?
Is that really one of the reasons they're looking for him?
How did Jin die? When?
Is Michael one of the 6?
Who will die next week?
I think that's it's Claire. She has to die, in my opinion, since Kate has Aaron in the future. If not now, she will die before the end of the season IMHO. I think that Claire and Jin are the other 2 or the "8" that survived the crashed and then later died. As Jack said under oath in Kate's defense, in the episode Eggtown.

The Other Woman Recap

The Other Woman Recap
Last week's episode was not the Constant. We learned more about the island, the others and Juliet. It was definitely more of a "season 3" episode, even though I liked it a lot.

Previously on the Island (briefly)
Ben is obsessed. Juliet is lonely and gets involved in adultery. We knew she and Goodwin had a relationship, but this week we learned that he was married to the Others therapist. We also learn that Goodwin worked in the Tempest, the power station with deadly gas. Ben sends Goodwin out to die much like King David sending out Uriah to his death to have Bathsheba.

Presently on the Island (briefly)
Juliet is visited by Goodwin's widow and is instructed to track down Daniel and Charoltte and kill them at the Tempest. Jack & Juliet track them down. Kate is stupid. Daniel saves the island from the evil gases. Jack and Juliet share a moment, even though Juliet seems to think that Ben will win and will destroyed anyone else she loves.

QUESTIONS and THEORIES:
There were not many questions raised. One of those questions, where did Daniel and Charoltte get their map? I have included a screen cap on the right, with the Tempest Logo blown up. I think Michael drew them the map. I think that this one of the ways that Michael the artist gained the trust of those on the freighter. Since we all know that he is the man on the boat.

Don't Trust the Captain!

LOST's New Time-Travel Physics - Popular Mechanics

Are Lost's New Time-Travel Physics Junk Science? Maybe Not, Expert Says: Hollywood Sci-Fi vs. Reality - Popular Mechanics
Flying from the island toward a mysterious freighter, pilot Frank Lapidus can’t keep his helicopter on the bearing that physicist Daniel Faraday says will get Desmond and Sayid to the freighter safely—presumably through a wormhole. They encounter some turbulence, and Desmond begins, yes, traveling through time, with increasingly rapid lapses between 1996 and the present (which, on the show, is still 2004). With new particle physics research recently taking time travel from Doc Brown fantasy to down-the-line possibility, we spoke with Dr. Michio Kaku, whose new book, “Physics of the Impossible,” makes Lost’s flip-flop between past and present look, well, not impossible. More

LOST, Popular Mechanics & Pregnancy Science

Pregnancy Science on LOST Is Flawed (Except for the Magnetism Factor), Top Maternity Doc Says - Popular Mechanics
"Back in Season 3, we learned that Claire was the first mother on the island; until her son Aaron’s birth, all pregnant women there died during their third trimester (in total, pregnancy has killed nine women). And that’s why blonde super doc Juliet came in the first place: to make childbirth possible. And she takes her mission personally, as we saw Thursday when the death of a pregnant patient had her crumpled to the floor in tears. Speaking to Ben later, she says that during the second trimester “white blood cells plummet, and the immune system turns on the fetus.” In reality, this is the exact opposite of what happens to a pregnant woman. More."

Doc Jensen on Desmond's Time Travel

LOST: A Desmond fact-check - Doc Jensen - EW

Doc Jensen does his usually analysis of the Constant as welll as get some answers confirmed by Damon.
In ''The Constant,'' Desmond became ''unstuck in time'' after flying through a thundercloud crackling with strange electricity. He experienced something like time travel, though not bodily time travel; instead, his consciousness shuttled between two different time periods, Island present 2004 and Desmond's past 1996. But here's the tricky twist: Desmond's Island-present mind wasn't the one doing the time traveling. When Desmond got hit with Island magic, his consciousness got knocked off-line and was replaced by his 1996 self. It was this older Desmond consciousness that toggled between present and past throughout the episode. Once Desmond '96 completed the errand of getting Penny's phone number so he could call her on Christmas Eve 2004, Desmond's present-day mind came back online, but rebooted with the new memories created by his time-travel adventure. I know: tricky stuff. But I had the chance to run all this by Damon Lindelof — and he says this interpretation is correct.
This is definitely what I was thinking. This is cool, check out page four of his article for "LOST'S EMPIRE STRIKES BACK SEASON."

The Mysterious Island of the LOST Ones Podcast

The Mysterious Island of the LOST Ones Podcast - Episode One

This was a test to check into this podcasting world of LOST. I know there are some awesome LOST Podcasts out there. I always listen to The LOST Podcast with Jay and Jack, The Official LOST Podcast, The Transmission and sometimes Dharmalars.

In this brief inaugural edition of the podcast, "Bobby" and I (Jimmy) have a little conversation about the podcast and the show LOST. You can here some good music from Jimmy Needham (not the same Jimmy) "LOST at Sea." I just thought I try it out at least, maybe nothing will come of it. If you want to listen to a few minutes, just under 3 minutes of randomness, check it out.

The Other Woman in the Casket?

Perhaps, Julliett is in the coffin. Based on what we see her life and her acceptance of Ben's control on the island and in her life. Maybe she does "get away" from Ben, but then Sayid is sent to kill her off island.

That would also explain why Kate wouldn't won't to go to funeral, and with her sister being in Florida, perhaps assuming that Juliett is already dead.

I know that there has been a lot around the internet about the little bit of information from screen caps of the "Through the Looking Glass," but maybe that is purposefully misleading.

I guess we'll see.

The Other Woman
Thu March 6 9/8c

Juliet receives an unwelcome visit from someone from her past and is given orders to track down Charlotte and Faraday in order to stop them from completing their mission -- by any means necessary. Meanwhile, Ben offers Locke an enticing deal.
