Have You Seen the New Star Trek Trailer?

See the Trailer Now: www.startrekmovie.com/

I saw the new trailer for J. J. Abrams & Damon Lindelof's new Star Trek movie coming May 8, 2009 today, and that it looked pretty cool. It didn't really look like Star Trek, which is good and bad I guess. I'm glad that it's a new story and that it's something different. It has some interesting CGI and I think it's cool that "Skylar" from Heroes is the new Spock.

I'm not sure what to think about the little Kirk or the twenty something Kirk. Both didn't seem to fit the character from the little bit of the trailer that they appeared in.

Fringe Gets Full Season Ordered

Source: Fox picks up Fringe for full season - Reuters

"Fox has picked up a full-season order of J.J. Abrams' sci-fi thriller
"Fringe."

"Fringe" stars Anna Torv, Joshua Jackson and John Noble as
investigators of paranormal crimes. The network has ordered an additional nine
episodes of the Tuesday night drama, which should come as no surprise to those
following its ratings performance."

thanks,
jimmy

How you been watching Fringe?

One year ago today, Variety reported "Fox scares up J.J. Abrams' 'Fringe'." Since that time, Abrams has brought to the public not only the expensive pilot but three more episodes of his new show. Flight 815 became famous on LOST and now Flight 627 with Fringe probably won't be as important in Fringe as Flight 815 was in LOST, but that was good start for the new series. Abrams has been a busy man with Star Trek only a few more months away.

thanks,
jimmy

J.J. Abrams on Star Trek, Cloverfield 2 and The Dark Tower

Lots of exciting things coming up for the creator of LOST. J.J. Abrams, Damon & Carlton's Star Trek will be out a little later than originally planned. It will hit theaters in May 2009. He's been given a green light on a Cloverfield sequel. Also Damon and J.J. are in the early stages of adapting the Dark Tower series by Stephen King. Very cool.

J.J. Abrams traces his love of the unseen mystery -- the heart of Alias, Lost, and the upcoming Cloverfield -- back to its own magical beginnings, which may or may not include an early obsession with magic, the love of a supportive grandfather, or his own unopened Mystery Box.

The New Cloverfield Trailer

Empire: Movie News - The New Cloverfield Trailer

It's been a long time coming, but we now bring you the second trailer for Cloverfield, the none more top secret monster movie, directed by Matt Reeves and produced by JJ Abrams.

Was the wait worth it? We think so. We get a much stronger sense of the story – monsters attack New York and knock most of it over – and a proper look at how the hand held style will work while still retaining the big bang blockbuster quality, i.e. brilliantly.

Cloverfield Clues

Cloverfield Clues

J.J. Abrams latest movie project due out next year, has already generated a lot of internet buzz. Cloverfield Clues is an awesome source of news on Mr.s Abrams new movie.

The Title is "Cloverfield"

Cloverfield Title Finally Revealed!? Movie Trailer Description Online | /Film

Devin over at CHUD has seen the trailer for the upcoming JJ Abrams-produced monster movie code-named Cloverfield/1-18-08. The trailer which runs 2 minutes and 16 seconds will debut in front of Beowulf and will feature the final title for the movie (we reported this earlier in the week). So what is the title?

Cloverfield

That’s right, the reel marked as Trailer #1, V.17, with “Newest FX Shots” features the titlecard “Cloverfield“. Keep in mind this could just be a placeholder until the real title is announced, so things could change. Alex and FirstShowing seems to believe that mainstream audiences know the film better under the date title 1-18-08, and that it would be stupid to call the film Cloverfield. And I think he has a point because Cloverfield has nothing to do with anything that happens in the movie (at least from what we know). So while the audience online knows the film as Cloverfield, the brand recognition doesn’t translate to mainstreat audiences. And that’s why I don’t believe this is the actual title of the movie.

"Cloverfiled" Trailer Available

Apple - Trailers - 01-18-08 - Medium

The trailer for J.J. Abrams/Drew Goddard's new movie "Cloverfield" now available. It looks awesome. From the trailer, it appears to have a Blair Witch Project feels of a hand held camcorder with a single perspective. This is a very interesting trailer to say the least.
