LOST Season 5 Videos on iTunes

LOST_Season5_itunes

I knew that you could download The Fray "You Found Me" music video on iTunes, but this morning I checked back found several others videos available for download, which is very nice to see LOST Season 5 clips on something with better quality than we see on YouTube or even abc.com.  Here's the list of video:

1.  "You Found Me" Music Video
2.   LOST Theatrical Trailer featuring The Fray - HD & SD

3.  LOST Starter Kit - HD & SD

4.  "Going on Vacation" - First Sneek Peek of Season 5 - HD & SD

5.  "Back to the Island" - Second Sneek Peek of Season 5 - HD & SD

Will Something Be LOST with Cast Separated in Season 5

Lost showrunner Damon Lindelof has admitted that the show's bosses are concerned about the effects of splitting up the characters.

The repercussions for the fifth season led Lindelof to tell Sci Fi Wire: "We're concerned... I think everyone, writers and fans alike, feels the show is at its best when our characters are together, but the fact of the matter is that the story is constantly twisting and turning to keep them apart."

Lindelof also suggested that the split may only be a temporary measure that will work in the show's favour. "Let's face it, absence makes the heart grow fonder, but there's nothing sweeter than a reunion. All we're willing to say at this point is that if we were to spend the entire duration of season five with the Oceanic Six trying to get back to the island, we are fully aware that the audience would strangle us."

Ajira Airways Book A Flight Puzzle

I've been trying to find the answer to this puzzle other places and I've been trying to figure it out myself and I just can't do it.

I think from the clues.  You choose the following:

Destination Destiny

From: Los Angeles, CA (the time is right for the flight - 11:30 AM, and this is where Jack, Ben, (Jeremy's body) and Kate would already be, with Hurley and Sayid not far away from the commercials at least)

To:  Guam (from the origami boarding pass puzzle)

Departing: 01/21/2009 (from date stamp on the photo of the driver holding the 316 sign, this could be the 20th or 19th based on travel times.  The distance from LA to Agana, Guam is 6,089 miles.  I checked on some flight from LAX to Guam for January 21 and the shortest travel time would be 14 hours and 40 mins.  If you're flight was leaving at 11:30 am you'd have to leave January 20 or maybe January 19 depending on how many stops your fight would have.  One of the flight travel times was estimated at 33 hrs and 45 min.)

Select Flight: 316 - 11:30 am (from the sign and from the title of the episode 316)

Promotional Code: 112 114 111 109 111 (translated from DEC/CHAR this is promo - http://www.paulschou.com/tools/xlate/)

Adults and Children could widely vary depending on who everyone is and who counts and who doesn't.

Adults:  Oceanic Six (Kate, Jack, Sayid, Hurley, Sun), Ben, Jeremy Bentham (Locke).  The body wouldn't count as a ticketed person.  That leaves 6 adults.

Possible Adults:  Frank, Desmond, Penny (and baby from one of the commercials, she wouldn't leave Desmond, but then Ben would kill her) Walt (adult or child).

Children:  Oceanic Six (Aaron)

Possible Children:  Ji Yeon (Sun wouldn't leave her behind), Walt (does he count as a child), Desmond and Penny's Child (if they go the baby goes)

Up to 10 adults (counting either Walt or the dead body as number 10) and up to 4 children (counting Walt and new baby).  I have tried most of these combinations and nothing has worked.

My Boarding Pass and Origami Answers

ajira_boardingpass_origami_answer

GUM is seen at the bottom of the hole (I cut mine open so I could take a better a picture (it's still blurry however).  I followed the instructions but got confused a couple of times, but finally got it right.  It was fun making a little origami box that is related to LOST.

Well Guam it is.  I've tried it as my destination on the "Book A Flight" section of the Ajira Airways website, but I still haven't successful booked a flight.

"316" in Ajira Airways Commercial

316_in_commericalI mentioned this in the previous post, here is a screen cap of the moment in the commercial when there for just a moment flashes a driver holding a "Ajira 316" sign in an airport.   "316" is the title for 7th episode of LOST Season 5 airing probably in March of 2009.  Flight 316 is one of the options to choose from on the Ajira Airways "Book A Flight" section of their newly updated site.

"316" can mean many things such as a flight number, but these numbers are stronger connected to the Bible.  John 3:16 is probably the most well known verse in the Bible.  The King James Version (KJV) of this verse is probably the most famous English translation, it says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Jesus is being quoted in this verse from a conversation that he was having with a Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.   Jesus tells Nicodemus a few verses prior to this one in verse 3, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."  This chapter in the book of John have one of the most succinct message of the Christian gospel.

Here are some other widely used verses from the Bible that explain the good news about why God sent Christ to die on the cross for the sins of the world.

Romans 3:23 - “For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.”

John 14:6 - "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Romans 5:8 - “But God demonstrates His love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

Romans 6:23 - “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 10:9-10 - “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."

Romans 10:13 - “For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

Have you ever called on the name of the LORD?  That is a much more important question that any raised by an episode of a TV show.

Ajira Airways Website Updated with New Content!

The site has been updated with several new areas.  The ad that was in the DSA video is there along with lost of goodies.  I have listed most of the goodies below.  Thanks.

FLIGHTS
booked "Book A Flight"
There are accepting reservations until January 21, 2009 - the premiere of LOST season 5.  However, this is a puzzle, because everything I've tried to enter so far gets the following.  I'm sure if you chose "Destination Destiny" it would have something to do with January 21, 2009.  I've tried several different ones, usually using Flight 316 since that was a hidden number in the commercial and the title of the of the upcoming episodes. I've also tried several different combinations of adults and children.  5 adults and 1 child for the Oceanic 6 and 5 adults and 2 children for the Oceanic 6 + Ji Yeon.  I'm sure someone has probably already figured this out.

DESTINATION DESTINY

LOST Season 5 Sneek Peek - Jack and Ben

I mentioned this video a few days ago and now I've found it on YouTube, so I've put it in this post.  Enjoy, seeing a little piece of the new season of LOST.

LOST Season Premiere Everyone in the Media has Seen It

It seems everyone is the media has seen the new LOST episodes.  I need a job at a newspaper again.  I've worked for three of them over the years, but it's been about 8 years since I last worked at one of the them.  Anyway, I've included part of Doc Jensen's article the link to the rest of the article is at the bottom.

"Lost’s tradition of opening the year with a killer, capture-the-imagination sequence is honored and upheld, though the thing I loved most was how it was brazenly frank (and engagingly funny) about the heady high-concept conceit that will define the season. Almost everything that followed that opening passage was pretty cool, too. Remember the non-linear structure of Pulp Fiction, which toggled between a number of storylines whose chronological relationship to each other is practically a puzzle for the audience to solve? Well, the season premiere is kinda like that. The first two episodes will have the audience — and the show’s characters — trying to make sense of shifts in time. They demand active engagement, and I found it to be a lot of fun. Especially the first hour.

Lots of Sawyer in the first two eps. Lots of his naked chest, too. Lots of Hurley, and as for his chest, it is covered...with a very funny T-shirt. Sayid also has mucho screen time in both episodes, though he sleeps his way through one of them. Literally. And Daniel Faraday emerges as a huge player in season 5. The eps are dotted with cameos and extended cameos from peripheral but important figures crucial to the Lost mythology and much-loved by the Lost fan community. A polarizing character from Lost’s past returns, earns some redemption by participating with wit and humility, and delivers one of the best lines of either episode. Once again, all things Ben just rock. And if you're familiar with the rather disturbing crush that Doc Jensen happens to have on a certain rarely-seen Lost someone, then you can imagine how I swooned when I saw her re-appear at long last in the second episode."

LOST Premiere Review from Jennifer Thomas

Jennifer Thomas at the Pioneer Local Blogs a member of the Sun-Times New Group has seen the first two episodes and have two articles about each of them.

Article One:  Un'Locke'd in time: A look at the 'Lost' premiere - Entertaining Ideas

"As a belated (and really exciting) present, ABC posted the two-hour Jan. 21 "Lost" Season 5 premiere on their media site. So here's a look at what goes on in the first hour of the premiere. (I ended up not holding off on watching the second episode of the premiere, so here's some "Lost" tidbits from the remaining hour.)"

Articles Two:  Look at 'Lost' Season 5 premiere take two - Entertaining Ideas

"I was planning on waiting to watch the second hour of the "Lost" Season 5 premiere on Jan. 21, but I caved and watched it all. It's interesting how things are being reinvented for Season 5: there aren't just flashbacks and flash forwards, time is pressing in from both sides (the time of the group left behind on the island and the Oceanic 6 three years into the future) and it's distorted and overlapping. Based on the premiere episodes, "Because You Left" and "The Lie," this definitely looks like it's going to be a very solid season. Here are some points from the second hour of the season premiere."

E! Online Lost Premiere Preview

Jennifer Godwin offers some commentary after viewing the season premiere of LOST.

Sure, sure, the Lost mythology is a miracle to behold. It's grandiose, compelling, gaspworthy and, despite what the haters would have you believe, altogether satisfying, but come on: There's a lot more to Lost than Dharma, the numbers and the four-toed statue: There's love. Yes, love.

I've seen the first two hours of Lost season five, so let's cut right to the romantic chase and answer the big questions: Which couples are still hot? Which ones are not?

Find out who's doing what with whom in the season-five premiere of Lost...   Read More Here:  Lost Premiere Preview: Love Story Spoilers - E! Online

More Questions on LOST Season 4 Finale

We see the Oceanic 6, Desmond and Frank watch the island disappear.  Obviously they don't know what happened to the island or the people until Jeremy Bentham aka John Locke comes to see them and tells them the horror stories of what happened, which causes Jack to decide that he needs to go back and try to prevent what happened.

That's interesting enough, but what do the people remaining on the island initially think happen to those who were on the freighter?  They see the smoke and assume that their rescue is over.  Juliette is drinking after seeing the smoke, so I would think that all of those on the boat or on the way to the boat would be dead if I were them.  How did John know to go off the island to find people.  I guess Jacob told him what to do again.

Will the island bring John back to life?  Has John faked his death?  Did Christian fake his death?  Was John bitten by those spiders like the most hated LOST characters ever Nikki and Paulo?  They had to show those spiders for some reason, right?

Happy Pre-Year (It's almost New Year)

New LOST Season 5 Trailer - Spoilers!

There are some interesting things in this trailer.  It seems Sun has a gun on Kate and probably Jack.  It seems that Desmond and Penny have a baby.  It also seems that we see John ducking from Eko's drug smuggling plane that had some of his buddies and his brother on it when it crashed on the island killing them all.

Dharma Special Access 12/29

ajira_airways_commerical A new Ajira Airways commercial is at the end of the question and answer session with Damon and Carlton.

This week on the video from Dharma.   We will learn why Christian is wearing white shoes in Season 5.  We also may be seeing more of the four toed statue this season, we should see more in Season 6.  Will Ben be getting a love interest?  No.  We did learn that Alex was killed at least in part for the shock of having someone actually killed in a hostage situation, that never happens.

The special access password this week was "emal", which is oh course lame spelled backwards.  This weeks video was not lame, an interesting password none the rest.

Ryan From the Island's LOST Blog

I've listened to the Transmission and heard Ryan with Jay and Jack from time to time, but I never visited his LOST blog until today.  Ryan always has the lateset LOST filming scoop since he lives in Hawaii.  Just thought I'd share and check out his podcast.

2 Sneek Peeks for Season Premiere on ABC.com

You can see two new clips of the season premiere, one featuring Ben and Jack in a hotel room, and another featuring Kate, Aaron and some lawyers.  Check out the super new clips, that will help pass the time until January 21 arrives.

What Has Happened to Sun?

I rewatched Season 4 over Christmas.  And one of the many things that jumped out to me on this watching, was how much Sun has changed.  What's going on with her?  She bought controlling interests in her father's company, which is pretty cool.  She also is blaming her father and from his comments, Jack, for the death of Jin.

48
The real shocker with Sun is her decision to align herself with from all appearances the real "Big Bad" of LOST Charles Whidmore.  What will Sun do?  How will this new alliances change the world of LOST.

Can You Change the Future on LOST?

I've been rewatching season 4 on DVD, and I was thinking about 'The Constant" which is my favorite episode of the series.  Daniel actually tells Desmond that you can't change the future, and when they first meet in 1996 he mumbles something about a paradox.  Desmond was also told when he first time travel experience that he couldn't change things, and that the universe would course correct.

From all the evidence in the show, in "The Constant" Desmond did change the future.  Desmond was able to talk to Penny because her got her new phone number back in '96.  If he had not done that, he would have died.  He wouldn't have a constant and would have ended up like George.

That's just one small way that he changed the future when he called Penny.  Desmond is responsible for the actual rescue of the Oceanic 6, because Penny comes out to get Des after talking to him on the phone.

Anyway, Desmond has time traveled twice now, and has changed the future.  How will things change this season since it appears that the island moved through time and space?

LOST will be back in about 4 Weeks!

After all these months, the wait is almost over.  The LOST Ones will be back in action in their two-hour season premiere.  I'm excited and I'm sure you are too if you're reading this or any of the other LOST blogs.

What are you most excited about seeing?  What happened to the island?  Where the island go?  When did the island?  Are John and Jin really dead?  Was that really John in the coffin?

We'll learn more and have more questions to ask soon enough.  Merry Christmas!

Uninterrupted LOST Season 5

"Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Lost fans will find themselves watching the upcoming Season 5 without interruption, sources tell TVGuide.com.

Of course, going interruption-free has always been the plan for the series' final three seasons. Season 4, however, was compromised by last winter's WGA strike. And looking ahead to this season, ABC has yet to confirm any scheduling plans. One insider speculates that the network may decide to maximize their May sweeps payoff by "stretching out" Season 5 with a week off or two, rather than have the finale air mid-month."

IGN: Top 50 Lost Loose Ends: What We Know Now

"Way back in November 2006, we wrote a feature called "IGN's Top 50 Lost Loose Ends." At the time, even though we were big fans of Lost (and remain so) we were getting pretty frustrated with the show and its lack of answers. The third season had just begun and it felt like fans were getting more way more questions than actual answers.

After a mind-bending third season finale and a truly stellar fourth season, we now look at Lost differently. It feels like a lot's been answered in the last two years, so we decided to take a look back and see just how much we know now about those little loose ends that were driving us nuts a couple years ago.

Please note that the purpose of this article is just to look back at what we know now about our original list of 50 loose ends. We completely realize that there have been new questions raised since then -- and we'll address those in a future feature article. For now, let's let's take at what we've learned, and what has yet to be explained..."

Maybe it was just a marketing scheme like “Heroes” whole ‘Save The Cheerleader Save The World’ thing in season one but I fell hook, line and sinker for season four’s genius idea to allow six survivors off the island – Jack, Hurley, Kate, Sayid, Aaron (Claire’s son), and Sun. Now we need to find out why they have to go back and where exactly the island went and basically just what the hell is this show really about! January 21 cannot come soon enough!

LOST has officially made the switch to HD

60-Second Q&A: Jim Longeretta, CEO, Digital Vortechs | HD/Studio

Why Lost Made the Move to HD Editorial

The editorial team on ABC’s Lost made a big move this year, bumping up the quality in the Avid suite from SD to HD. The show is currently editing for the first time using Avid’s DNxHD 36 codec for the season that premieres in January 2009. The technology is provided by Santa Monica’s Digital Vortechs, which outfits TV, feature film, and commercial shoots with editorial pipelines. HD Studio got CEO Jim Longeretta on the phone to find out how fast the industry is switching over to high-res editorial.

"The Constant" - Top Ten TV Episodes from TIME

1. Lost, "The Constant"

At its best, Lost rips your heart out while it ties your brain in a knot. This season 4 episode did both expertly. Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) has been experiencing premonitions of the future since becoming "unstuck in time" (a la Slaughterhouse Five) earlier in the series. It turns out that he's been time-traveling, or rather, his mind has: his consciousness is journeying between present, future and past. (It makes sense when you watch, trust me.) The unfortunate side effects of this condition are madness and death, avoidable only by focusing on a "constant": a person or thing present in each time one's consciousness visits. Desmond's constant, he learns, is Penny (Sonya Walger), the girlfriend he left behind when he was stranded on Lost's mysterious island. His journey into his own past to find her in the present is tear-jerking and mind-blowing.

We're just a couple of days away from the big release of my favorite season of LOST on DVD and Blu-Ray! Click on the picture below for more information!

LOST Season 5 Spoilerish - Who is Dan Norton?

In the clip that was released this week from LOST Season 5 episode 1 "Because You Left."  Dan Norton, a lawyer from Augustine and Norton, comes to Kate's door wanting DNA samples from her and the baby to prove maternity.

Who would doubt that this is Kate's baby?  He could not divulge the name of his client, so who is it?  Whidmore?  Claire's mom?

Why would a judge sign this court order?

New Sayid on the set of LOST!

Oh, don't get your knickers in a knot! Naveen Andrews isn't leaving Lost. However, if my hunch is correct, in this season's 10th episode -- a Sayid-centric outing that starts shooting later this week -- a new actor will be playing his part.

"Whatchutalkinbout', Willis?" you say?

Follow along now: A casting call has gone out for the roles of a father and his 12- and 8-year-old sons, all of whom, I'm told, will have to be fluent in Arabic. So wouldn't a logical assumption be that the hotheaded dad is Sayid's pop and the older boy, a sensitive type who's painfully aware that he lets down his formidable paterfamilias, is the future assassin himself?

That's what I thought, too! The hour promises to be a real crusher, with Dad teaching his elder son the kind of lesson in manhood that I suspect inflicts lifelong emotional scars.

Are you ready for Sayid's untold story to be told? Or are you afraid that it will be so intense, it'll qualify as must-wince TV? Comment away below! (Additional reporting by Andy Patrick)

Cherry kept the creative bacon sizzling on Wisteria Lane with a five-year leap in time that gave audiences a new reason to tune in to the fifth season. Meanwhile, Team Darlton — who chose to end Lost in 2010 — restored the show's cool with a season that earned the series its first best-drama Emmy nom since season 1.

Movies beckon (Star Trek = drool), but the lucrative deal he signed with Warner Bros. in 2006 will keep Abrams committed to the small screen at least through 2012.

LOST Season 5 Background

You can download the latest LOST season 5 cast background now!  Are they any clues in this photo for the upcoming season?  Why is most of the cast wearing black?  Why are three of them noticeably wearing blue?  Why is this the first time I've seen Dharma 2-Liter?  Why are there more Dharma saltines and beer on the floor?   It's definitely an interesting compilation of the LOST stars.

My New Theory

If you've seen this elsewhere, I did not read it anywhere else or try to look it up anywhere else.  I am finally finishing season 1 tonight (I posted about rewatching it a couple of times).  So here's my new theory:  we know people have been hanging out on this mysterious island for a long time with the Black Rock and the 4-toed statue.  I think people have been inhabiting this place for 8,000 years.  Why?  Hurley was talking about what is in the hatch and he is kind of day dreaming of a hatch filled with food, electronics and such.  At the end of his talk, he says that there will be twinkies inside for dessert.  Why?  Because they can last for like 8,000 years dude.

I know that's not much to base a theory on, but I know that the writers chose the information we get very wisely, and since it's tied to the numbers, why not.

Hollywood actors guild to seek strike - Movies- msnbc.com

Last season was interuptted and ultimately cut short because of the wrtiers' strike. Well look what's on deck this season:

The Screen Actors Guild said Saturday it will ask its members to authorize
a strike after its first contract talks in four months with Hollywood studios
failed despite the help of a federal mediator.

The guild said it
adjourned talks overnight with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television
Producers after two marathon sessions with federal mediator Juan Carlos
Gonzalez.

SAG — representing more than 120,000 actors in movies, television and
other media — said in a statement it would launch a "full-scale education
campaign in support of a strike authorization."

LOST Thanksgiving

For the past couple of years, my mom and I have made a tradition of watching LOST on Thanksgiving while I was home for the holidays. This year, we've watched a couple of movies and some Battlestar Galatica, but it just doesn't seem the same without watching some LOST. I think after BSG, we shall have to watch my favorite episode of LOST so far "The Constant."

Sawyer's Sacrifice

I posted a couple of days ago about rewatching season 1. One thing I noticed that was a striking difference in Sawyer. When he told Kate his reason for wanting to get onto Michael's raft, he said that there was nothing worth staying on the island for.

Yet when the time came in season four as the helicopter was about to go down because it was losing power and was too heavy. Sawyer was willing to jump out for Kate. He could've drown, and he was on the island when it disappeared because of his willingness to stay on the island to give his beloved Kate a chance to get away.

LOST Season 1

I have been rewatching season 1 and only have the exciting season finale left to watch, "The Exodus."  It's interesting to final rewatch season 1 after knowing what happens all the way through to season 4.  I've enjoyed it a lot.

Lost - SCIFIPEDIA

I know this has been around a while, but I had not seen the ScifiPedia before. The section on LOST is a little outdated. And some of their numbers, I am not sure where they are getting them. There have been 85 episodes of LOST so far: Season 1 (24), Season 2 (24), Season 3 (23) and Season 4 (14). This site says that there have been 91 episodes. Maybe they are counting the LOST specials and recap shows.

End of Dharma Wants You

Namaste.
I am pleased to announce that registered recruits can now log in and download your personalized Volunteer Assessment Dossier outlining your full test results as well as your position within the Dharma Initiative. I want to personally congratulate you on behalf of everyone at the Dharma Initiative for your hard work and diligence during our testing
process.

We hope that you are happy with your results. We certainly are. The tests were extremely challenging and the aptitude and excellence displayed far exceeded our expectations.

Now that you are in possession of your results I am sure you are asking the obvious question: what's next? Our plan was that together we would commence a glorious adventure: the revival of the Dharma Initiative using the myriad talents of all our amazing new recruits. We imagined not just fulfilling long abandoned goals but taking the Dharma Initiative to a new level of
greatness as an organization promoting the peaceful social and technological advancement of all humankind.

Then the financial crisis struck. Sadly, our benefactors were not immune to this crisis. In fact, unconfirmed reports suggest that much of the money designated for the work of the new Dharma Initiative was tied up in highly leveraged mortgage derivatives. This, however, cannot be confirmed because, I am sorry to report, the principals representing the benefactors - my employers - have gone missing. Based on bills still coming into our office we believe they
are somewhere in South America.

This stunning reversal of fortune has forced us to abandon our ambitious plans. In fact, absent this funding, the Dharma Initiative was forced to make the only sensible decision we had available: we sold the Dharma Initiative to the television show LOST.

While this might strike some of you as a shock, the reason for this was not simply that they were the only bidder. As the only remaining Dharma Initiative employee who had not fled the country, I felt that at the very least the show would be able to keep the spirit of the Dharma Initiative alive and in the public consciousness until such time as a reversal of the reversal of our
economic fortunes occurs.

It is with a heavy heart that I must bid you farewell. Despite my fervent commitment to the mission of the Dharma Initiative, the realities of a broken marriage, heavy casino debt and some unfounded police charges have required that I change my present circumstances. It is with great excitement that I can inform you of my pending senior sales management job at a large
multi-brand auto dealership in Dubai. I have enjoyed our brief association more than I can ever express, and if you are ever in the Middle East and need a car, please e-mail me for a special "Dharma rate".

In the meantime, you will hear shortly from LOST showrunners Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. They will explain to you their future plans for the Dharma Initiative and how these plans might affect you. Thank you again, personally, for your unflagging commitment and support. I hope our paths will one day cross again. In the meantime may the spirit of the island guide
you.

Namaste.

Have You Seen the New Star Trek Trailer?

See the Trailer Now: www.startrekmovie.com/

I saw the new trailer for J. J. Abrams & Damon Lindelof's new Star Trek movie coming May 8, 2009 today, and that it looked pretty cool. It didn't really look like Star Trek, which is good and bad I guess. I'm glad that it's a new story and that it's something different. It has some interesting CGI and I think it's cool that "Skylar" from Heroes is the new Spock.

I'm not sure what to think about the little Kirk or the twenty something Kirk. Both didn't seem to fit the character from the little bit of the trailer that they appeared in.
The Following Press Release from ABC talks about the "You Found Me" Video and then about LOST. One thing I've heard other places as well is that this list of stars does not include Rebecca Mader as Charlotte.

What is Ajira Airways? LOST Season 5 hint?

This interesting image flashes during The Fray's video "You Found Me." Ajira Airways must be the next "Oceanic" for LOST. I'm sure that this will play some role in the upcoming season, since it was hidden in the season 5 music video.

What does this mean? Where is this from? I'm sure we'll learn more later.

Who is Desmond related to? Who been seen in Hawaii? (Spoilers)

Source:  LOST Spoilers

Question: Your Lost spoiler tease inthis week's Ausiello TV is driving menuts. Can you please give us a hint as to the nature of the connection between Fionnula Flanagan's creepy ring seller and "another major character" who is not Desmond? -- Vanessa
Ausiello:
 They're related.

Question: The lack of Lost scoop is killing me. -- Ahmed
Ausiello:
Help has arrived! My Lostmole reports that Lance Reddick (a.k.a. corporate recruiter Matthew Abaddon, as well as Fringe's Phillip Broyles) was just spotted in Hawaii shooting what I assume is episode 5.6. Meanwhile, the show is casting the likely recurring role of Hal, a white dude in his 70s who can still fight the establishment and win. Team Darlton is also on the prowl for an actor to play Mike, a thirtysomething scientist who's on the brink of something big. An authentic Czech accent is required. (Of course, when isn't it?)

Charlie Returns, Well Almost

"In what marks his first major TV gig since Lost, Dominic Monaghan has signed on to guest-star on NBC's Chuck as -- stop me if this sounds familiar -- a free-spirited British rock star targeted for death by a shadowy group of evildoers. And the similarities to his Lost alter ego Charlie don't end there. Well, actually, yes, they do. "This is a very, very different kind of character," insists executive producer Josh Schwartz of Monaghan's metalhead, who makes an in-store appearance at Buy More and ends up getting entangled in one of Chuck's spy games. "He's a lunatic in the best sense of the word. And there's no heroin [addiction]." Monaghan's participation is only half the Feb. 2 episode's sell: It also will air partly in 3-D, piggybacking on NBC's 3-D Super Bowl stunt. (The network will broadcast the big game the night before.) Aside from the cool factor of seeing himself in 3-D, what drew Monaghan to the role? Did he have any hesitation about channeling someone who, at least on paper, so closely resembles Charlie? And might his tube return be the precursor to another Lost comeback? Hmmm….Sounds like the set-up to an exclusive Q&A with Dominic Monaghan. Scratch that. Itis the set-up to an exclusive Q&A with Dominic Monaghan."

LOST Returns January 21st with 3-Hour Event!

"We don't know where the Island went -- but now know when we'll be seeing it again. ABC insiders say that the fifth season of the Emmy-nominated cypto-drama will premiere with a two-hour event on Jan. 21, 2009, at 8 p.m. That's a Wednesday, in case you don't know next year's calendar by heart, which means that Lost will be returning to its original day-of-the-week slot. (Last season, it aired on Thursday nights.)
The Lost season five premiere will actually be a three hour event! An hour-long recap special will air at 8 PM, followed by the first two episodes from 9-11 PM. The series will air thereafter at 9 PM on Wednesdays."

LOST Season 1 - Smoke Monster Hint?

I started re-watching LOST a couple of days ago and right now I'm watching "Walkabout."  One of the best episodes in the series in my opinion.  I noticed something that I've never noticed before.  Someone out there has probably mentioned this before, but perhaps not.

While "Colonial" Locke is at work on the TPS reports at the box factory.  The calculator (adding machine whatever) makes a noise when printing the numbers on the paper that sounds like....
The Smoke Monster.  I thought that was pretty cool, since it was related to numbers and John Locke.

I finally watched Matthew Fox in Speed Racer

Okay, I know the movie came out months ago and the DVD has been out awhile. I finally watched Speed Racer today after getting home from church. I have heard how it was dissappointing the money making side of things, but I like the movie.

I really had not ever watched the old Speed Racer cartoons, and didn't know much about the mythos. I like the way they brought you up to speed slowly, about the Racers and those surrounding them. The movie making was made in such a way that did look fairly odd at times, almost like a Tim Burton movie/cartoon. I thought a lot of the racing seens looked like Mario Kart. Anyway, it was fun to watch. I liked it.

Egyptians Influences on the Mysterious Island

Lost - Home - ABC.com

One of the current videos on ABC's LOST site looks to be from the Season 4 DVD. The video has Carlton talking about the Egyptians influences on the island and some of the mythology of the island. I thought that this was a great little video. They discuss the secret door in Ben's house to the controls of "Smokey" and the hieroglyphics found there on and the countdown clock. Anyway, check out the video. It's short and good.

Ana Lucia's Come Back - Spolierish

Source: Exclusive: 'Lost' Resurrects Michelle Rodriguez! Lost Ausiello Files EW.com:
"Michelle Rodriguez, arguably one of the more polarizing personalities to
have ever gotten Lost, is returning to the show this season, multiple sources
confirm to me exclusively.

Details of her comeback are, not
surprisingly, shrouded in secrecy, but here's what I can tell you:"

More Casting News and Mr. Friendly on Burn Notice - Spoliserish

Source: Casting Scoops: 'Lost' Villain on 'Notice,' - Ausiello Files EW.com:
"Someone alert the fire marshal, 'cause I think Lost's fifth season
premiere is rapidly approaching capacity. Team Darlton is adding two more guest
stars to 5.01. First there's Darlene, a bored clerk who hates her lame-ass job
and looks for any burst of excitement to get through her day. She'll be joined
by Jill, a highly confident and tough-as-nails butcher. What's up, Doc Jensen?
'Dude, Darlene sounds like 'Dharma Initiative recruit circa hippie-era
seventies' to me. And Jill could be the lunch counter lady that serves the
good-for-you organic slop in the Dharma mess hall.' Um, no offense Doc, but that
much was obvious.

Speaking of Lost, Burn Notice is currently shooting an episode to air early
next year that features M.C. Gainey (Mr. Friendly) in a sure-to-be-sinister
role."

Lawyer Coming to LOST - Spoilerish

Source: Casting Scoops: 'Lost' Finds New Villain Ausiello Files EW.com

Lost is on the prowl for an actor to play Dan, a high-priced attorney who
can be friendly, but has a "real menace lurking below the surface." Paging Doc
Jensen.... "Of course, Dan is yet another Biblical name -- Dan being another one
of Jacob's sons. (Also see: Benjamin.) According to Wikipedia, he was the one
who hated Joseph so much he conspired to have him thrown into a pit, then
smeared blood on Joseph's robes to convince Father Jacob that wild animals
killed him. My hunch is that Dan is a minion in the employ of Charles Widmore,
someone who executes a lot of his dirty work -- like, say, working with Libby to
further manipulate Desmond into that yacht race. Remember when Sun and Widmore
seemed to strike some kind of ominous alliance in the season finale? "Dan" will
serve as Widmore's liaison with Sun." Thanks, Doc! You took the words right out
of my mouth! (Additional reporting by Lynette Rice)

One year ago today, Variety reported "Fox scares up J.J. Abrams' 'Fringe'." Since that time, Abrams has brought to the public not only the expensive pilot but three more episodes of his new show. Flight 815 became famous on LOST and now Flight 627 with Fringe probably won't be as important in Fringe as Flight 815 was in LOST, but that was good start for the new series. Abrams has been a busy man with Star Trek only a few more months away.

LOST Season 5 - Because You Left

'Lost': Season 5 premiere scoop! - Doc Jensen on 'Lost' - Entertainment Weekly:

''BECAUSE YOU LEFT'' is the title of the season 5 priemere of LOST. The entire last season was about how the 6 got off the island, and from all accounts season 5 will deal with how our beloved LOSTies will return. I still think that since Ben indicated thtat they all have to go back, the tough part will be trying to get Desmond to go and leave his beloved, Penny.

What happens that is so bad that they have to go back? What happens because they left? We will learn that and more soon.

LOST Time

I've been so busy with my online business, I have not had much time for LOST lately.

I will have some updates soon. Not much has happened since Comic-Con is the grand scale of LOST things, but I thought that as a few new items are out there, this would be a great time to start with a few new posts.

LOST will return in a few months. I will also say that I have finally jumping on the fraking bandwagon and become a Battlestar Galactica fan! I love that show; almost as much as LOST.

Scott Gingold's thoughts on LOST

And this baby's made of chocolate lollipops: A Lost Blog by Scott Gingold

Scott has some interesting ideas about LOST. I liked several of his theories about the island, the cashmere effect and Walt. It's a good read, if you're missing LOST right now, wrap your brain around some of these goodies.

LOST was #1 Last Week!

'Lost' finds itself the No. 1 show - CNN.com

The season finale of LOST was #1 for the week! LOST is #1 everyweek it's own in my opinion, but the Nielsen viewers usually don't agree with me. =)

"It was an uncommonly strong performance for the ABC mystery serial, which is ranked 19th for the season in viewers.

On the other hand, "Lost" had puny opposition as most scripted series moved into postseason rerun mode and viewing overall dropped significantly from the week before. "Lost" had 12.3 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Nielsen Top 10
Prime-time viewership numbers compiled by Nielsen Media Research for May 26-June 1.
1. "Lost," ABC, 12.3 million viewers.
2. "Two And a Half Men-Special," CBS, 10.81 million viewers.
3. "Million Dollar Password," CBS, 10.62 million viewers.
4. "60 Minutes," CBS, 10.29 million viewers.
5. "NCIS," CBS, 9.77 million viewers.
6. "Criminal Minds," CBS, 9.73 million viewers.
7. "CSI: NY," CBS, 9.56 million viewers.
8. "So You Think You Can Dance" (Thursday), Fox, 9.56 million viewers.
9. "Hell's Kitchen," Fox, 9.50 million viewers.
10. "So You Think You Can Dance" (Wednesday), Fox, 9.36 million viewers.

Elizabeth Mitchell on Juliette

This is a TV Guide video from a few weeks back, a great little interview with Elizabeth. She said she cried when we read the finale script over a "really good thing" aka Penny and Des reunited. I cried too.

Spae/Time, Casimir Effect and Exotic Matter in LOST Season 4 Finale

Lost TV s Time Travel – Casimir Effect on Lost Season Four - Popular Mechanics:

Michio Kaku a professor of physic at the City University of New York and author of "Phyics of the Impossible' wrote the following at Popular Mechanic about the space/time issues on LOST in season 4.
"The new wrinkle on all of this is that exotic matter, if it exists, could allow for trap doors in the stage of space-time. People can suddenly fall through these trap doors and re-appear in a different space and time, like the characters on Lost particularly Ben . These are wormholes, or shortcuts through space-time. The simplest example of a wormhole would be Alice s Looking Glass. Another example would be a folded sheet of paper: By punching a hole in the folded paper, you can show that a wormhole is the shortest distance between two points. So the Orchid Station was probably built around a meteorite made of exotic matter that hit the island.

But unlike exotic matter, negative energy has actually been created in the laboratory. It was first predicted to exist by Dutch physicist Hendrik Casimir in 1948, and actually measured in 1958. For example, two uncharged parallel metal plates would normally be stationary. This is a state of zero energy. But Casimir showed that quantum effects within the vacuum push the two plates together. Since you have extracted energy from a system with zero energy, you have created negative energy. However, the Casimir effect is very tiny; in the experiment, the force was only 1/30,000 the weight of an ant. So all the bizarre electromagnetic disturbances in Lost are due to somehow creating a large Casimir effect with electric plates.

But what would a wormhole machine that can bend space and time into a pretzel look like? It would be truly gigantic. First, you would need the equivalent of a black hole to create a hole in space, and then negative energy or exotic matter to stabilize the hole so it didn't collapse on itself. The amount of exotic matter necessary to build a time machine would be about the mass of Jupiter. So the machine, instead of moving just the island, might have unintended consequences, such as actually eating up the entire earth! "

What Would Einstein Think About LOST Season 4?

Lost Season 4 - Physics of Moving the Island - Einstein Would Approve of Lost TV on ABC - Popular Mechanics

How did Ben make the island "disappear" in the season finale? It's all relativity, argues a top professor who even uses LOST in his classes. Wormholes, 305-degree bearings, the Casimir effect—it all checks out with quantum mechanics, and could explain a lot for next season. More

Adam Savage Mythbusting Season 4 Finale

MythBuster Adam Savage on Explosions in Season Four Finale of Lost - Popular Mechanics

Adam Savage from the popular MythBusters TV show has an article at Popular Mechanics about LOST! Here are some of his thoughts about the explosion and LOST in general.
I'm a huge fan of Lost, but sometimes my schedule keeps me from being able to watch all the episodes on time. Yesterday, after a 6-hour Lost marathon (I had no idea how far behind I'd gotten!), I was finally ready to take in last night's season finale. And after watching it, all I can say is: Holy crap.

First things first: the explosives. We blow a lot of things up on MythBusters, so I know from experience that last night Lost missed the mark. The 500 pounds of C4, that whole movie thing about "dummy triggers" and fake tripwires—it's all a load of crap. Nobody does that. At least that's what my friends at the FBI tell me. Would you want to set up explosives so that pretty much anything you did would make them go off? It's just like guessing and cutting one of the wires in the movies: Nobody would survive using that technique for very long, including Keamy and his crew. The whole training of a bomb tech is to work safely with explosives, not dangerously. There are too many ways to mess it up. Also, I'm pretty sure that C4 isn't conductive, which it would need to be to set up its wiring as a resistance feedback loop that could tell if you started to pull out the detonators. And if freezing the battery works, why not just disconnect it? Oh, right, the monitored feedback loop. But wait, C4 isn't conductive ... never mind. More

Humans Can See Into the Future Brotha!

Key to All Optical Illusions Discovered - Yahoo! News:

We didn't see Desmond's flashes in season 4, we did him time travel (his consciousness anyway), so maybe that "cured" his flashes of the future. Yahoo News is reporting that we really can see into the future, not like Desmond seeing Charlie drown, but still the future non-the-less.

"Humans can see into the future, says a cognitive scientist. It's nothing
like the alleged predictive powers of Nostradamus, but we do get a glimpse of
events one-tenth of a second before they occur.

And the mechanism behind that can also explain why we are tricked by optical illusions.
Researcher Mark Changizi of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York says it starts
with a neural lag that most everyone experiences while awake. When light hits
your retina, about one-tenth of a second goes by before the brain translates the
signal into a visual perception of the world.

Scientists already knew about the lag, yet they have debated over exactly how we compensate, with one school of thought proposing our motor system somehow modifies our movements to offset the delay." More

The Frozen Donkey Wheel Cometh!

Season 4 has now come and gone. Wow, this was the best. This is the best show ever. No doubt. i LOVE it. I like some other things on TV, but I do not love them. Why aren't more people on board with LOST? I have a friend that starting watching LOST yesterday, I think that's awesome. It's such a weird thing to watch the first few episode knowing what you know post season 4.

I was SPOILER FREE!!!!!

I LOVED that Desmond and Penny were back together last night! That was my favorite part of the show with out a doubt. I do have a few questions, but not like last season, OMG at the end.

anyway, I should have more time soon. So I should have a huge increase of LOST related posts and info.

POST 108 - One Year Anniversary

My LOST blog is officially 1 year old. yeah for me! What a long strange trip it has been. I have been thinking about the next several month of no LOST, and I think back to the last year. The blog and the mobisodes helped the months go by.
