The Oceanic Air commercial showed the same ladies from a previous commercials on the official website, but this time they were telling the world about their golden pass with which would let you fly whenever and go wherever you want. They say to go to flyoceanicair.com find out how to get one, but as of right now that site is not working properly. The ad was "hacked" by Sam from find815.com. He said that you can't trust them. It also showed Sam saying that they found flight 815 and he briefly shows some underwater footage of a Oceanic plane.
This seems to confirm what Naomi and Another Copper said about the plane. This also bring me back to a post, that I posted a while back, when was find815.com supposed to be happening? Was it supposed to be happening back in 2004? This has to happen before Naomi or Anthony come to the island. But was this happening in LOST Time, and actually in 2008? When do the Oceanic 6 get back to the real world?

The Beginning of the End - On Island - LOST Season 4 Premiere
SPOILER: Don't keep reading if you don't want to know what happened.
Season 4.01 - "The Beginning of the End"
On the Island: (Flash Forward Post)
The aftermath of the decision to call the freighter is what this episode was about. Jack and the gang we excited. They couldn't find Locke and soon discover that Naomi wasn't dead. Most everyone starts making the way back toward the beach, but Danielle, Jack and Ben go to look for Naomi down the wrong path. Kate steals the phone from Jack and tracks down Naomi just before she dies and Naomi makes some adjustments to the phone to ensure that her people will find them.
Hurley and everyone on the beach are excited as well, until Desmond comes with the news that Charlie is dead and that his last heroic act was to tell them that Naomi is not who she claimed to be. They don't radio Jack to warn him in case the signals are being monitored so they lock and loaded and start marching toward the front of the plane.
Along the way Hurley gets separated and the craziness that we see in the future is beginning here. He sees an old house. Like Jacob's shack, but bigger from my first impression. Like I don't remember there being a front porch last time. He sees a table with a latern, a painting on the way of a dog, like at Jacob's cabin, and a man wearing white tennis shoes in a dark suit, Christian Shepherd. It's dark, but you can tell it's him.
While he's looking, an eye of someone jumps up and is staring back at him. I assume that this is Jacob's face and eye that. He's freaked out when John find him. John tries to convince Hurley to help him.
When everyone gets to the front of the plane, Locke would have been shot if the gun was loaded, but Jack does beat him up. Before long, Locke with the help of Hurley convince a large number of survivors to follow John to the Other's Barracks. Then the rain starts and they leave. Soon as Jack and Kate are thinking of Charlie a helicopter flies over and a man parachutes out. Jack and Kate find him.
What don't people (Naomi, Patchy and John) die on this island, when you think that they should?
Who is Naomi's sister?
What's the deal with Christian Shepard?
Especially sine, "So It Begins" and now Hurley's vision, something is going on with him that's very abnormal for a dead man. Which leads me to my next questions...
Are there ghosts in LOST?
How are Christian and Jacob connected?
How are Smokie and Jacob connected?
Is Jacob a personification of the island?
What was Locke doing there, near the cabin?
Why was the freighter looking for the island?
Why did Kate steal the phone?
The Flash Forward Post recap is the previous post.
Thanks!

The Beginning of the End - Flash Forward - LOST Season 4 Premiere
SPOILER:
If you do not want to know what happened in this episode, do not continue reading.
Season 4.01 - "The Beginning of the End"
Flash Forward: (On the Island)
Season 4 opened with a quick rehash of the end of last season and then some exploding fruit. It was Hurley driving an old Camero on the run from the Police. Jack sees this on the news and he knows that it's Hugo. Hugo is arrested and is starts yelling , you don't know who I am "I'm one of the Oceanic 6." We don't learn this until later, but he was freaked out because he had seen his dead friend, Charlie Pace in a store, that is why he started running. Hurley is arrested and is interrogated by Ana Lucia's old partner. He is still seeing things and freaks out again when it appears that the two way mirror becomes a window to the ocean and someone resembling Charlie swims up and touches the glass. The thing that's easy to miss is that the dark hooded figure does represent Charlie and he has has something written on his hand, "They Need You." It breaks and Hurley thinks the room is filling with water. It's not, he's crazy.
My Questions About Hurley's Flash Forward:
Who are the "6"?
Kate, Jack and Hurley are confirmed. They've been rumors for months, and those three were correct, so I assume the other 3 are correct as well.
How were the 6 presented to the world to make them famous?
And what have they been saying happened to everyone else?
Was that man really an Oceanic representative, and what is his agenda?
Are they're ghost in the world of LOST?
Was that really Charlie, or just Hurley's craziness like Dave, who also slapped him around?
How did the other patient see Charlie staring at Hurley?
Does the force on the island have powers apart from the island?
What happens to Jack in between this time and the time of the previous flash forward further into the future?
The On the Island recap will be in the next post.
Thanks!

He gets sent to the same mental institution as before. He feels comfortable there. He is visited by a scary man who said that he was a lawyer from Oceanic Air. He asked if they were still alive. Hurley freaks out again. Later is outside and dearly departed Charlie walks up and tries to talk to Hurley. He admits that he is dead, but that he is also there. He's trying to tell Hurley that they need to go back, but Hurley doesn't won't to hear it. Finally, the last part of the flash forward features a visit from Jack to Hurley. Jack wants to make sure that Hurley won't tell the secrets they're trying to keep. Jack mentions that he's thinking about growing a beard since they've become celebrities for being one of the "6." Hurley tells him that he's sorry for following Locke and that they made a mistake. Jack also says that they'll never go back. Hurley gives the sage advice, "Never, say never dude."

Missing Piece 13 - So It Begins
So It Begins...
Wow, that's awesome. I don't know what that means. I know that Christian is indeed dead. Carlton and Damon have said that many times, so what was that about? It seems something more is going on here, than just old Smokey or one the island's tricks.
That's so awesome that we get to see a Vincent flashback to just before LOST begins on the island.
Has Jack done his work?
That's amazing!

LOST Still Afloat during Strike
Source: LOST Charts Its Own Path - Variety
Over the past three years, the castaways on "Lost" have managed to survive killer polar bears, competition from "American Idol" and some of the most complicated storylines in network TV history. But this year, they're facing what may be their toughest enemy yet: the writers strike. The WGA walkout has put a major monkey wrench in what had been a carefully crafted master plan for "Lost," designed to take the series through a pre-announced 2010 conclusion. But the strike has forced the net to change all that, while also resulting in a risky timeslot shift and a downsized PR campaign. more

Lost: Missing Pieces 12 - The Envelope
Another Juliette centric missing piece; however, most are saying that this is actually a deleted scene rather than an all new mobisode. Juliette has a talk with Amelia (It's jump the shark time if it's as some are saying Amelia Earhart), and it sounds like Ben is in love with Juliette from the talk. Then as Juliette is about to reveal something very important, "Big Trouble," when they are interrupted. I thought of Ben's x-rays myself, which would cause some trouble. I would like to see how the Others responded the first time they found out that Ben had a tumor.

When does find815.com happen?
In most states, there is a seven year waiting period before you can declare someone dead (Ex: Steve Fossett's wife asks judge to declare her missing husband dead). So is find815.com taking place in 2011 or have the rules been changed for 815 (which is possible), and they're trying to declare them deceaed in 2008, 4 years later as we see billboards and websites now. Just a thought about LOST Time. We know that LOST Time is important. I think a lot of time has passed off island. Just thought I share.

Baltimore Sun gives B- to Cloverfield
Stylish 'Cloverfield' gives bumpy, hand-held view -- baltimoresun.com:
"Not that there seems to be all that many. Unlike in Blair Witch, the victims this time are not a bunch of talky teens out on a witch hunt, but the entirety of Manhattan Island. True, the invader is a big ugly monster, not anything human or realistic, so maybe we shouldn't carry that post-Sept. 11 theme too far. Still, in both its scope and its spirit, not to mention its grim picture of a city under attack, Cloverfield is clearly intended as horror of a very different kind."

Jin Has a Temper-Tantrum on the Golf Course
Jin goes all Billy Madison in this Missing Piece. Jin loses to Michael and Hurley is golf and goes on a rant that I think is kind of funny, but it definately shows how alone he is on the island, with only one person that he can really communciate with.
I'm thinking that this will be the final hooray for our beloved island golf course.
If you haven't seen it yet, it's availble at the internet it the various places, not youtube so much anymore, but daily motion or elsewhere.

Studios Cancel Writers Contracts
Report: Studios cancel writers contracts - Yahoo! News
Four major studios have canceled dozens of writers' contracts in a possible
concession that the current television season cannot be saved, the Los Angeles
Times reported Tuesday.
The move means the 2-month old writers strike may also endanger next
season's new shows, the Times said.
January is usually the beginning of
pilot season, when networks order new scripted shows. But the strike leaves
networks without a pool of comedy and drama scripts from which to
choose.
20th Century Fox Television, CBS Paramount Network Television,
NBC Universal and Warner Bros. Television told the Times they have terminated
development and production agreements.

Futon Critic Top Ten Episodes of 2007
the futon critic - the web s best primetime television resource:
"1. lost: through the looking glass abc
originally aired: may 23, 2007
In my first look at the show in 2004 read it here , I talked a lot about how it was rare to find a show that tickled your imagination, that pushed the boundaries of what you think television can and can t do. This episode - nearly three years later - touched on those exact same feelings. After all, could you believe that they would actually get off the island at the end of season three - let alone not realize you d already spent two hours exploring Jack s post-island experiences?
Lost co-creator/executive producer Damon Lindelof on why he writes: I write because I can t help but make things up. I write because I love to tell stories. I write because my imagination compels me to do so. I write because if I didn t, I d be branded a pathological liar. Oh, and also because I m still trying to make my dead father proud of me. But that s none of your goddamn business."

Wendy in Chicago: Did you hear that Oceanic Airlines is back in the skies?
I know! For those of you who haven't heard, Oceanic Airlines announced that after a long shutdown, it is back in business, and their new destinations just happen to be a guided tour of Lostie homelands (for example, Portland, Oregon, and Seoul, Korea). In addition to wicked cool real-life Oceanic Airlines billboards that are popping up around the world, the company launched flyoceanicair.com, which was shortly thereafter hacked by the folks behind find815.com, who are still a little cranky about the disappearance of their loved ones. As the find815.com folks investigate, we get to play along and share the clues to the mystery. I was out of town for the launch of this, so I'm a little behind, but hopefully I can crib from the summaries at docarzt.com if there's a pop quiz. Don't tell Damon!"

Well, your stack of occasionally trotted out DVDs can’t match up to what writer Nikki Stafford went through while preparing to write the invaluable guidebooks Finding Lost and Finding Lost: Season 3.
“I’ll watch an episode when it first airs, and then when I’m working on the book I’ll watch them all a couple of times—the entire season—without taking notes,” explains Stafford. “Then I’ll watch the entire episode with a laptop taking constant, constant notes. Then I watch them again, write up the episodes and then watch them a couple more times to make sure that I’ve caught everything and look for bloopers.

"IGN TV: What did you think when you read the reveal to the flash-forward in the script?
Emerson: Well, it wasn t in my script! It was left out of everybody s script except Matt [Fox] and Evangeline [Lily]. So I didn t know what they were doing until it was broadcast. I didn t see those scenes and had no idea. And at first, I suppose like everybody else, I was a little bit confused. I thought Jack with beard… what kind of flashback is this? When did he ever let his beard grow? And then when it dawned on me that this wasn t in the past, this was in the future and that some survived, but not happily… And that their post island life is every bit as fraught and filled with regret and misjudgment as their life on the island… I just thought Oh, that s really grown up." LOST Missing Piece 10 - "Jack, Meet Ethan. Ethan? Jack"
The latest mobisode was released to cell phone today and oh course, someone has posted it on the internet. This is one of my favorite ones so far. I really liked the interaction between Jack and Ethan. I feel like we actually learned some new information in this mobisode. Ethan lost his wife and child on the island. This made me feel more for Ethan, after seeing Juliette's and Claire's flashbacks with Ethan and now this missing piece, I get the feeling of a complete person. Not just some evil other who kidnapped Claire and tried to kill Charlie. I still think that the Others aren't as bad as we've tried to make them out to be.

The Doctor is In
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY:
What was your first reaction to the big twist in the season finale?
MATTHEW FOX:
Something like ''Holy s---!'' It really caught me off guard. I'm not sure I ever thought that people were going to get off the island.... Damon [Lindelof, who co-wrote the finale with fellow exec producer Carlton Cuse] did such an amazing job of orchestrating something that when you're looking at it for the first time it feels like a flashback, but there'd be little things that are a little odd — like why Jack seems so ridiculously messed up. You think it's in relationship to his marriage falling apart, and then boom, you go, ''Oh, my God, this is a leap forward in time. What does that mean? Why is he suicidal?'' I just think that's great. More

LOST in HD on Xbox 360
Xbox Live Marketplace will add LOST in HD
While HD DVD and Blu-ray have both lost key supporters recently, Microsoft's Xbox Live Marketplace seems to just keep adding new content providers, this time bringing MGM and Disney-ABC Television Group to the fold. Conspicuous in that bothare exclusive Blu-ray supporters, Xbox 360 owners will -- later this month -- have access to ABC hits like Lost, Grey's Anatomy and Desperate Housewives in HD the day after they air. So far, MGM's announced just classic and catalog flicks like the Rocky series and The Usual Suspects, with "most" available in HD. Still looking for a Blu-ray add-on or built in HD DVD?

The Golden Globes are Off!
The Golden Globes are Off! - EW.com:
"The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has finally announced that this Sunday's Golden Globe telecast on NBC and champagne-soaked dinner are now cancelled. In its place will be an hour-long HFPA press conference covered live by NBC News beginning at 6:00 PST.Even though LOST was snubbed this year, I thought this was news worthy.

LOST is #11 in the top 25
Sci-fi s top 25 movies and TV of the past 25 years - Entertainment Weekly
"11. LOST 2004-Present
Created by J.J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof
A mysterious island that s home to a shape-shifting smoke monster, a weird science project tasked with saving the world, and a secret society of sinister Others who can t make babies — yes, Lost certainly has its fair share of sci-fi stuff. And yet, like the best examples of the genre, this unfolding saga about plane-crash survivors trapped in a tropical twilight zone doesn t wallow in its genre elements, but uses them to embellish an exploration of identity, community, and reality itself. Coyly sublimating everything from Jules Verne and H.G. Wells to Star Trek and Star Wars, Lost aspires to be an important entertainment for a pop-soaked, soul-searching age. Now, at the risk of missing the point, how about some damn answers?!
POP CULTURE LEGACY Building on pioneers The X-Files and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Lost helped to usher in a new era of serialized storytelling and showed Hollywood how cult-pop TV can be leveraged into cashcow franchises. Heroes, say hello to Daddy.
THE BEST BIT The Emmy-winning first season, with its perfect pilot and getting- to-know-you character flashbacks, is an object lesson in capturing the imagination. —Jeff Jensen"
Doc Jensen returns!
LOST: Doc Jensen Goes Fourth!- Entertainment Weekly
The wait is almost over. The fourth season of our mutual fixation is almost upon us after a long, restorative, and well-negotiated break. My crazy-tank has been topped off, and I've got ideas to burn...though upon completing the first draft of the text you're about to read, I realized that the Doc Jensen cogs had acquired some crust and rust during the layoff. That isn't all bad for me. I recently visited a Lost fansite and saw a puzzling, preposterous image that I hadn't seen or thought about in many mad moons: the four-toed statue. I found myself intrigued all over again. Time may have dulled my Lost mind, but not my interest.
What to Watch in '08
Great '08 Televisionary: What to Watch in the New Year!:
"1. Lost (ABC, Jan. 31): Boy, they weren't kidding when they called the season-three finale 'Through the Looking Glass.' In the eight produced episodes of season four, the show begins to look back at the Island, and the survivors of Oceanic 815, from distant vantage points far removed in both time and space from the crash-era story. Meanwhile, rescue arrives, in the form of Not Penny's Boat, but seeing as how it's Lost, that's not all it's cracked up to be. This year's new crop of characters (following on the heels of the tailies and the Others) are the boaties, played by a crackerjack team of actors including Jeremy Davies, Rebecca Mader, Jeff Fahey and Ken Leung. Meanwhile, the newly possible flash-forwards will reveal shocking fates (not to mention some shocking allegiances) for the survivors. In the first few eps, look for lots of hostage situations, a division of the Losties between Team Jack and Team Locke, interrogations, lies (Ben) and a couple of shootings. Just another day on the beach!"

LOST - Another Best of 07
TV's best of 2007 - San Francisco Chronicle
"10. 'Lost,' ABC. The only broadcast television winner in this category (there are plenty of really good dramas on the networks, but this list is upper tier only), 'Lost' gets the nod for being compelling and addictive in every episode, but really ramping it up midway through last season. (Remember how I said that storytelling on television is an evolving, living thing? 'Lost' truly proved that by stepping on the gas in the most rewarding way, leaving viewers with an inspired, daring finale.)"
